Start your engines! Alba Colón is a performance and motorsports mechanical engineer who helps design and power championship-winning race cars in NASCAR. Originally from Puerto Rico, she first discovered her love of racing on her college Formula SAE (a collegiate design competition from SAE International) team, and she went on to lead Chevrolet’s NASCAR program, helping win hundreds of races and multiple championships before becoming Director of Technical Partnerships at Hendrick Motorsports. Today, she not only pushes performance on the track but also works to open doors for more women and underrepresented students in engineering.
