Chris Symons, PhD

Spring, Texas

“When I see young people excited about science, it makes me feel so hopeful about the future.”

From the depths of the ocean to the future of STEM, Chris Symons has built a career around exploration and impact. As a marine geologist, she spent months at sea mapping the seafloor and exploring some of the most remote places on Earth, contributing to the first human return to the Mariana Trench in over 50 years. Today, she brings that same spirit of discovery to her work elevating women in STEM— amplifying their stories and impact to expand who feels included and inspired to pursue these paths. By connecting science, storytelling, and access, she helps open doors for the next generation to take on the world’s biggest challenges.
